This battery is very specific in that it is only available as a button cell. In terms of chemical composition, it is made up of a powdered zinc anode (Zn), a cathode made of silver oxide mixed with graphite (Ag2O), and a gelled potassium hydroxide (KOH) electrolyte. It is suitable for domestic, professional and industrial use. It is especially used for calculators, watches, electronic measuring devices and remote controls.

Its nominal voltage is 1.55V and its working temperature ranges between -20°C and 60°C. Its shelf life is 2 years. Its excellent voltage stability and its low self-discharge rate (less than 1% per year) are undeniable assets. There are high current models (labelled W) as well as low current models (labelled SW).
