Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries

Derived from the lithium-ion technology, the lithium iron phosphate battery technology (LiFePO4) is safer than the LiCoO2 or manganese technology. Consequently, it is much more difficult to ignite iron phosphate cells through misuse (especially during charging). However, prolonged overcharging or an incorrect charging protocol must be avoided due to a possible risk of thermal runaway even though the internal heat generation is very low.
Lithium iron phosphate came onto the market in the early 2000s and this technology is now adapted for multiple applications such as hybrid vehicles, electric bikes, golf trolleys, wheelchairs and energy storage.

Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries NX

Its chemical and thermal stability greatly improve the battery's safety and make it possible to withstand temperatures from -20°C up to 70°C. Its self-discharge rate is very low and it can handle over 2000 discharge cycles, giving the battery an excellent life expectancy. The raw materials used in its manufacture make it very inexpensive. This battery can be used in any orientation and can be charged rapidly to up to 90% of its total capacity in 15 minutes. Its energy density is 15% lower than that of lithium ion cobalt and we offer a range of Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries with capacities ranging from 1.2Ah to nearly 250Ah.
