Zinc batteries

This type of primary cell works through a redox reaction between zinc (Zn) and manganese dioxide (MnO2) with an acidic electrolyte made up of zinc chloride and ammonium chloride. As zinc batteries are only able to supply low currents, they are perfectly suited to devices needing very little electrical energy. They are suitable for remote controls, radios, lighting, signalling, measuring devices, alarms and alarm clocks.

Their rate of self-discharge is about 10% per year which means that they have a shelf life of two years. Zinc batteries can handle temperatures ranging from -5°C to 45°C. They are available in different voltages: 1.5V, 4.5V, 6V, and 9V. Our offering is made up of ranges of zinc batteries dedicated to high and low current applications with different external constraints. We offer batteries in all of the existing formats covering the full range of industrial demand.
